The update is a step in the right direction. Looks better but the car just doesn't appeal to me. The thing is just too damn heavy, I don't care how it handles.

The 2 door needs to come out! actually , amazing technlogy, but the cayenne and panamera are just kind of awkward looking. I just cant keep thinking the vehicles are morphs of the 996 and other vehicles.

I must add that when I'm in the Cayenne, nobody waves to me.....not even my neighbours! I think it's a jealousy thing....

I love both my V8's!

I have never, ever seen anyone take a picture of a Panamera in a "wow look it's a Panamera!" way, let alone a Cayenne... sorry I don't buy it.

well i can say the Cayenne TT is awsome as hell, believe what you want.

the Panny is as well, if you drive one you will understand, they will sell as many as they build, its a bad *** GT car that was/is an evolution of the 928, period!!

i did not like the panamera when they first came out, but like a fungus, it has grown on me..

i really like them now.

the S model is badass, i don' tcare what you say...it will flat move.

the responses i am seeing in this thread, i imagine, are the same comments that the 911 guys were making about the 928 when it came out...

so i guess in 20 years when we cannot find parts for ours anymore, the panamera will the the next cult porsche

I see lots of Panameras around here. Almost all are driven by women and they don't even look at my 928, much less wave or flash (either kind).

I've had good luck. Waves and smiles. But people here are nicer.

Making 8 trips a year to China and doing some work for Porsche China, it's interesting to note that the Panamera was first introduced in Shanghai, not the motherland.
When standing around one of the 34 Porsche dealerships in China it's fun to watch the rich Chinese fall all over the Panamera. The first thing they do is climb in the back seat. Have to haul the mother around or most have drivers and the owner
sits in the back.
In China the Panny cost around $200,000 USD. Most Chinese pay cash and along with it they purchase a Boxter for the girlfriend. In my opinion they don't really know much about the mark only the name and it's expensive.
With the grid lock traffic in China, the Cayenne ( the most popular next to the Panny
make good sense and smart marketing for Porsche as this is their second biggest market next to the US. BTW, it seems that black or brown are the most popular colors. Mao would have loved it

Here in the Seattle area I see lots. I get thumbs up occasionally, mostly from the older dudes .

I've had panamera drivers flash their lights at me also. Maybe its just the area of the country you are in..
I seem to see a lot more new Panameras lately than new 991s.

Lots of Panameras here in Jersey. About 50/50 men and women. Lots of Cayennes too. Porsche is no longer an 'enthusiast' marque, which I think explains some of the non-waving. New owners don't even know the 928 is a Porsche, much less what makes it special.

Porsche couldn't survive as a specialist marque, I suppose we should be grateful they're selling a lot of sedans and SUVs.

Had a guy pull up next to me while I was getting gas last week to talk about my 928. He previously owned an '80 I think.
