I assume you are talking about Classics at the Capital. The PCA Hurricane region meets for coffee and breakfast at Jason's Deli in Brier Creek every Saturday at 8. It looks like some of us will caravan over from there. BTW, I believe there will be a few very uber cool Porsches inside the convention center.

Wow, Steven, man I would go but Anne just had chemo today and my car is still at Ray's. Looks like I won't be lying on the concrete floor of the garage too much more. Doctor said yesterday in front of wife that my hip issues were my own fault. LOL. I guess it probably was. I spent 3 days on my back under the car fixing the PS issue then sent it to Ray. Please take some pic's if you can to share with your friends

You guys have a ball at the show, I will be free someday soon (only 2 chemo's left), then I am going to attend all the events I can. I even hope to host one at the beach when we get the place finished.

I would totally go if I were home! We really gotta start doing more I think, I've been SLACKING!

Frank, glad you guys are almost done with the Chemo!

For those of you that aren't on my OC mailing list, I'm hoping to have something at the house when I re-deploy, or maybe at Ray's. He's supposed to have my car there prior to my arrival to have it "ready" for me when I get home. Hopefully, nothing serious rears it's head! I think I had talked to him briefly about having a BBQ at some point for the 928 guys.

I also would like to work on having our own little GTG every month. Possibly move it around monthly also, so that those in Charlotte don't have to drive to the Triangle all the time, and the guys on the coast don't have to travel to the Triad, etc. I encourage you guys to have local things and maybe we can make bigger and bigger events.

Eventually I would like to have two BIG events in NC that the OC could sponsor. SITM (obviously), and something on the coast maybe, or a good Tech Session hosted someplace annually.

Hell, Dave and Jeannie hosted a few of us before my departure, and I had a great time. Maybe we can bug them to let us hang out on occasion!

Jon, Ray also has my car. I will ask him about yours when I pick mine up. Would already be finished but we got the wrong PS high pressure hose. Right one is on its way, no questions asked, from DC auto.

Steven, I would also love to see the Cirque Du Soleil. I will take good care of Anne first, then we are going to hit the town.

Ray doesn't actually have my car yet, it'll be making it's way there in a couple months though.

Looking forward to hanging out with everyone.

Won't be able to make it... but I'll be there in spirit! Have a blast!

Jon... don't worry about our GTG's right now. Keep your mind in the game, always cover your six and remember, C.A. isn't Pineland. Stay safe bud!

If you are talking about the 1st Saturday of the month gathering here in Raleigh, I hope you guys realize that this show has been moved from Brier Creek in Raleigh to Waverly Place in Cary. It's right off US-1/US-64.

The Hurricane PCA meeting may still be happening over in Brier Creek, but I'm not sure.

Really? I thought they were all still meeting at Briar Creek? Cary is a bit closer for me, but honestly, Briar Creek wasn't THAT far away.

Stephen, I'd like to do something like the guys in Apex have had for JUST the 928 guys. Though, I think we need a different venue unless we piggy-back.

Well I keep thinking about trying to organize a GTG in Greensboro at the new Whole Foods.

It has 3 large parking lots (shaded areas), a great location, and good food inside and next to it. Its a central location for the state and an easy ride for most. Located in the center of a large outdoor high-end shopping complex, it has everything to keep people busy/happy for hours. Now that the heat seems to be subsiding, it would be enjoyable to get out instead of a task.

And when I say organize I mean posting on a thursday for a Sunday morning meet. I would like it to be for all kinds of cars and a relaxed no big deal thing. No big planning, know the weather (unpredictable around here), and just show up and have some fun.

Shouldn't be such a task to get people (those w/o serious issues) with cars (or bikes) together.

Well, Greensboro is my home town so I have no objections to having one there.

I forgot to mention that the WF has a great feature - an outdoor covered patio with chairs/tables/music speakers (for 50) that is fun to sit at enjoying the scene, large trees, traffic, people ........................

Like I said no big deal, short notice, if you see a thread with Greensboro in it some thursday or friday take a look. Or anyone else can do it, can't think of a better location including gas stations, if the weather looks good.

Yes, the PCA Hurricane region does still meet every Saturday at Jason's Deli at 8 am. It's an official club event we call Koffeeklatch.

The first Saturday event evolved out of our Saturday morning coffee. Until recently, it was at Brier Creek. It has since moved to Waverly Place in Cary and generally gets started at 8.
