Might end up making the 928 GTG a second or third weekend of the month thing. The first saturday thing in Raleigh usually has a bunch of cars!
Greensboro is about two hours from me, so that's not that bad. So long as it's not super early it wouldn't be a bad drive for most I wouldn't think.

i am going to try and come up with my son to one of the first sunday things....
what kind of turnout is normally there? Are there people willing to talk about thier cars to droolers like us?
raleigh is about 2.5 hours for me so we would come up sat.and stay overnight.

Yes, most folks will gladly talk about their cars, assuming you can actually find them. I say that because people are walking around not just hanging out with their car. However, you'll find people will gladly engage in conversation everywhere.
One hint. The Hurricane region gang usually arrives by 8 to park together and get the spots in the shade. It's social hour for us so we are usually all hanging around in a large group.
