Default Need detailed help on how to remove brake booster

I found this thread (yes i searched first) but I cant seem to figure out how this is supposed to work together

Thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...e-booster.html

I have a pair of vice grips on the plunger to hold it out.

Where I get lost is how the threaded rod fits and releases from the brake pedal assembly.

Any help is appreciated.

Loosen jam nut 16. Remember that it is "jambed" against part 15 and it is upside down when you are looking at it. To loosen, remember that you need to spin it towards the brake booster. Remove circlip 19. Pull out pin 17. Unthread 15 and 16.

Count the number of turns that 15 takes to remove and put it back on the same number of turns, when you re-assemble.

Well I have had the frustrating day in memory on the 928. Doing the clutch hydraulics replacement job and could not get the clutch master in place so went to pull the brake master and booster,

Finally got booster free but can not get it out of the car. Hits fender then engine, arg. Got dark and I was too frustrated to continue. Do the pressure reducers have to come out too?

nevermind.

Got the booster far enough back to get a hand in and get the clutch master cylinder located and installed.

Good help me if I ever need to replace the brake booster. Looks like the engine needs to come out to get clearance.

Default What am I doing wrong?

My clevis pin is oriented 180 degrees different than the picture supplied above.
There is a metal bracket that prevents me from pushing the pin towards the DS door enough to release the pedal.

What I am left to think is that once the 4 bolts are loosened I might be able to swing the adjustment block over the pin.

it's fairly easy , what No one tells is that before you need to depress the brake pedal before you remove , so I removed my master then depressed the brake pedal with a 3 ft extension, then clamped the rod in the booster with small vice grips, then remove the final bolt, make sure pedal is pushed in as far as you can push it.
then the booster will come out going in is even easier, just reverse the procedure, had mine in and out in less than an hour, cheers.
