Default E-Bay 85 Euro

I don't normally do this, but if I am not in love with this car, I am certainly in lust.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1985-...item3a7446c815

It's a Euro, PET reveals a bunch of "I" codes with no corresponding info and M220. VIN is WPOZZZ92ZFS841018 and it apparently has a Massachusetts issued VIN of "MA 26738." Seller says 40K on the odometer. No way to verify.

Even if you are a nattering nabob, or perhaps because you are, other eyeballs connected to a functioning cortex would be appreciated. I am a man whose better instincts are currently impaired.

Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.

I am too. Beautiful looking car and the phone dials look fantastic. Cloth inserts are probably welcome in a black interior. There is very little information on the condition of its various systems, so it's probably worth asking about A/C, windows, rear hatch release, headlights, foglights, etc etc.

Very interesting. Overall very nice.

Front seats are not heated. Does not have HI-FI stereo - see door panel speakers. No fuel mileage guage in instrument cluster. Center console is not leather. No Euro has nice add-on lights but those are ugly. Warnings are in German.

All in all pretty good in a nice color. What was the other one north of Boston, is it the same?

If everything checks out, 1 owner, mileage, and condition - make an offer and

EDIT: It does appear to be the one mentioned earlier in the link posted by CapeCod below

DOH! Shows you how much I wasn't thinking - I didn't even check for a dealer website. I guess this is a fair indication they won't take 10K. By far the most expensive 85 or 86 I have seen in 9 months of shopping.

I could spend $26,000 and end up with an $8000 car.....

Nothing special in those options. For some reason PET doesn't understand those Ixxx codes but they are same as Mxxx codes. Forget I's and check actual code from any option code source like:

Those seats are a lot more confortable than the all leathers that everyone has.

0000 on tripodometer means odometer inop. If they don't mention that there's more.

I think your intake hose clamps are on backwards...just kidding- any reason that worked out better?

Amazing car- very seldome do you see full leather interior in that condition anymore.

Are you taking it to the Larz Anderson outing?

very nice color, great cars. Such a steal at this asking price when you look at the real world car market.

This car was for sale on craigslist at some point, owner was asking 14-15000.
He could have traded it in and now their selling. Its obvious from the add that they have no clue what a 928 is, just copy paste stuff from Wikipedia.

pjg - That is great looking and rare interior. Really makes the car. All the Prussian Blue cars I have seen have either Black or Blue interiors.

Beautiful car.

True, but don't expect to get a deal from them. They have some really nice cars, but they ask full retail and have shown a willingness to wait on the right buyer. They've had a couple of very nice 928s and Esprits for sale over the last couple of years. I've thought about stopping by a couple of times for different cars, but the cars in question were priced well above what I would have been willing to pay.
