1990 928 GT Supercharged for sale
I've labored for a long time about this, and it's time to sell. My kids are getting active and need a lot of my time. My wife works full time as well and I just can't enjoy the car like I want to.
This car was Dave and Jeannie Roberts GT that his supercharger kit was developed on. It has been to every SITM and OCIC event to date (I say with 98% certainty - DR - correct me if I'm wrong). I'm sure everyone with more than a year of membership on the list is at least familiar with it or has seen it in person.
The car has a tasteful list of modifications, most of which were done under DR's supervision. The only changes I added were the wheels, fully polished 18's with custom center caps, clear front turn lenses, smoked front side markers, Hans and Pauls switches as well as their subwoofer box. Oh, x-pipe and stainless RMB I added too.
DR's list includes of course the supercharger kit, un-intercooled with I believe all of his updated/redesigned components. I have a dyno sheet from the run at the2009 OCIC in Texas (which is on youtube) that was 399 but only at 5200 RPMs. I'd say it's easily 415-420 when it breaks 6000 rpms. Heated sport seats, GTS brakes with cast hole rotors, DR's front and rear sway bars and bushings, GTS short shifter. X-pipe and stainless RMB on the car now but sale will include the cats and the stock muffler too. Sharktuner with programmable PEMS included and all the maps I've saved during the last 3 years. Porsche car cover too.
I could go on and on about the car and how special and nice it is, and I'm sure someone will blast it because of mileage or whatever. It's a driver with no leaks or issues and a paint finish that is appropriate for the mileage - a couple of blemishes and stone chips on the nose. Carpet is nice, black with Lloyd's mats - red "928gt" on the fronts and the cargo area.
117,2xx miles, recent timing belt done by DR in Jan of 2009 at approximately 109,000. The only two issues are the heated sport seats elements went out just after I got it. There is power to the switches, so this is my best guess as to why they don't heat now. The other is the PSD has been flushed, but there is no accumulator tank on it so the PSD is in op.
Serious buyers can PM me for specifics. I'm not in a bind to sell so please don't bother me unrealistic offers. I'm aiming for 28k.

Beautiful car. I know that Dave's work stands out and is well respected. Hope you get what you are asking.

Really sorry to hear you are selling. But the really good thing is, and I already knew this, you have your priorities in life straight.

See you down the road.

i wish i could swing your car. i'm throwing all of my extra cash into a large workshop at my house. very tempting as the car appears to need nothing. it literally is near perfect.

Hi Shawn,
Best of luck with the sale! That GT is still one of the smoothest and tightest 928s I have ever owned! Wish I could buy it back!!
OH, did you mention it also has Bilsteins and Eibachs??
Cheers,
Dave
