How many hours of use for that engine since complete rebuild?
There is much reason that make a race engine to be rebuild every X hours, but let me know.
It seems thant Joseph get a braking problem with his own car, what are the issue?

Mark A, you have my car waiting for you if you can fly out to Road Atlanta.
The car is ready to race, there's a NASA June 15-17. There may be some PCAs, I don't follow them but hear they do RA 4 times a year.
When my trans broke I was pretty bummed and I didn't even have the added bonus of it being announced by MK with added commentary
The best thing about ordeal that was Brian 'Iceman' offering a ride if I just showed up, that really made the car blowing up seem so unimportant.

The trans project is underway but is a big one. I have a Jerico prepped and modified, 3.08 ring and pinion, some custom parts are being heat treated now and I'm about to start cutting some 4" & 5" aluminum chunks. There's just no simply drilling adpater plates etc. There's also the new TT and clutch spline size and shift linkage but that's another story...

Yes, no doubt. I looked at that bronze colored piece, in person, this morning.
I can't imagine a "normal" broken rod problem (from oiling problems) that allows that bushing piece to fall out the bottom.
I'd have to think that either the piston, wrist pin, or the "eye" of the rod opened up to allow that piece to be loose.
It's not going to be pretty.....

Something "different" than the "normal" 928 engine failure occurred.

My car has an SCCA book & will have a NASA book shortly.......you are welcome to race it at any upcoming norcal events......it doesn't have lots of HP, so it will be hard to keep up with MK....but with your driving and on slicks (especially yours!!!) it should be within a couple seconds.....enough to have some fun anyway......

Mark,
As hard as it may be, there is some good news: after every one of your engine failures, your next engine lasted longer and made more power! This last engine seemed to run forever, so the next one will be even more reliable and with increased power!!
Find the failure, fix it and go give em hell!
Best of luck!
