Default We are Buying 928 Parts

There are a few pieces that we are running short of, and you may have laying around. You can turn them into cash or store credit!
If interested, just call or email me at the numbers below in my signature area. Thanks!

The first is early lower bell housing bottoms, as shown here.
I only need them from 1978-1982 - without the starter mount cut out - as shown here.

Will pay $35 cash for each of these in good condition, or will place a $50 credit on account that you can use on anything we have.

Default Early LSD units

We are also buying the early model Limited Slip Differential.

The 8-disk unit found in 1978-84 cars only. Not all 928's were ordered with the LSD option, so it is possible that you may have a 78-84 transaxle laying around without limited slip.

Call me and I'll tell you how to check to see if yours has Limited Slip.

We can use the LSD from automatics and from 5-speed transaxles just the same.

I pay $400 cash for a used 8-disk LSD, or can put a $500 credit on account for you. I rebuild them when they get here, so condition is not much of a problem.

The early 8-disk LSD has very small holes on the side of it like the one shown. If the carrier has large access holes on the side - that's not the one we want.

Carl
What's your price on a rebuilt early 8disk. I might need one for my newest OB race car.

Default Engines

I am also looking for engine cores.

Because we bore and sleeve the 928, what you may consider a "unrebuildable" block may actually be useful to me.

If a 5.0 liter motor, block is good other than scratches or gouges in the cylinder walls, I will pay $300 cash for it or $400 credit on account.

If a 4.7 or 4.5 liter motor, we have no interest in rebuilding them (customers replace there 4.5 and 4.7's with 5.0's anyway). However, I am interested in making coffee tables out of the engines. I'd pay $100 for each of these, or $150 credit on account. Cranks not needed.

I have a 5.0 with a bad bore. Haven't made a final decision on it yet but will let you know. Glad to see I have a good option to get rid of it.

What about a thrust bearing failure block, any interest? (have one of those too)

Who pays for shipping?

I can use the TBF block for a coffee table if it is not cracked through. Send me a couple pictures.

I will pay for shipping, but I would want upper block only. No crank! (too heavy to ship)

Default Front Spindles from 1978-1981

If you have front spindles from a 1978-1981 928 I pay $100 per pair for those.

I will pay the shipping on them.

Default Engine Crossmembers

Also we are looking for engine cross-members from unbent cars.

At the moment, I need all years. I pay $75 each for good ones. Must not be bent or excessively rusty.

Carl, I have the engine with the bent valves that I just removed from my 86.5. It has about 100k miles on it. Is your offer just for the block without the crank, pistons, heads etc??? What about shipping?

I will try to give you a call sometime tomorrow. Connie always seems to have me laughing before I get off the phone. Not too much of that around here these days...
