Dont know what the coffee table costs yet. I havent made one and it has a lot to do on what I have to pay for the parts...

My plan is to use the pistons to hold the glass top. We'll see.

Thanks for all the responses on this. I have picked up some needed lower bell housing sand spindles and cross members, and you guys have cleaned some stuff out of your garage for cash!

Win-Win. all good.

Thanks again.

I have gotten so many engine cross members in now at $85 each that I have just lowered the payout to $75 cash or $100 in store credit for good used engine cross memebers.

Thank you.

Had an interesting chat with a customer hwo has a block damaged by Thrust Bearing failure. That block (and others like it) would be of interest as fodder for my coffee table project only. I would pay $75 for that, or $100 in-store credit. I know it isnt a lot, but it is more than you will get at the scrap metal dealer. I pay for shipping to me.

Contact me first to discuss before shipping anything, please.

Default Heads

I am buying good 32v head cores so I can pre-do valve jobs and offer a head-exchange program to our customers.

Need 32v heads from 1986.5-and-up. Must have all matching camshaft collars on it. You can just leave the cams in if you like, I can use camshaft cores too. Call for prices on cams.

Will pay $75 per good used head cash or $100 a head as an in-store credit. Again, I pay for shipping.

Default Oil Sump Pickups

I need standard late-model oil pickup tubes.

The one on the left in this photograph. We cut them and extend them to reach further into the pan when using an oil pan spacer.

They are worth $20 to me cash, or $25 in-store credit.

Default Water Pump Cores

We are having a little trouble getting water pump cores to send in to be rebuilt.

If you have a used water pump in your pile o' parts from your 928 (all years)
its worth $25 cash or $35 in-store credit.

I just ask that the impeller has not had an impact, and the gasket surface is good.
We expect the bearings and the seals to be bad.

Contact Gretchen at gretchen@928motorsports.com to make arrangements to send yours in, and "thanks" from the next 928 owner who is waiting for a pump!

Do the WP cores need to be Porsche castings or will Laso do as well?

I've got one, but it'll cost me at least $15 to get it to you. I would imagine it would be the same for others, so that may discourage a lot of shipments.

Matt

Bill - I can accept both Porsche castings and Lasso castings.

Matt - I will pay for postage. please send cheapest way, usually USPS.

Roger - the failure rate on our used water pumps has been very very good. Near zero, in fact. I think if its a quality rebuilt, there is a place for it in the product line-up. Not every 928 owner can afford a new one. We offer both, and we educate, then we let the customer decide.

Carl,

I have 3 Porsche and 1 Laso WP cores I'd like to send you. I also have a new Chinese WP that came with my last project purchase that of course I did not install if you'd like it for any reason (it actually looks high quality). I'll contact Gretchen to make arrangements.
