No word; owner called asked me to do it then has been silent so maybe this thread scared him away.
I have received a ton of advice pro and con but the con is on the heavy side.

Cheers mate. Im considering doing this on my GT, or the Strosek. Its more out of curiosity than anything else. Ive had kompressors and turbos, but never NOS. :-)

You really should try Nitrous...when that 100 or 200 plus hp comes in you will grin from ear to ear....we call it the "Nitrous smile"
If you are ever in the UK you are welcome to drive mine on Nitrous and see what I mean ...

Brett I wish I could come take your Bad boy for a spin, controlled drive that is.
IF I install Nos, it will be hidden.
I have just not decided on how to hide the bottle

Cheers Brett. I might contact you when I start my install. Havent made up my mind if I will install the system in the Strosek (S2 LH - 10:4comp engine) or in the GT......
Ive already bought a complete NOS wet kit with a 10lb bottle. Was hoping to do a ''stealth'' install, but If need be I can by another set of bottles. They are rather ''cheap''
Im thinking of going for a 150hp shot. Wonder how many seconds of use I get out of a 10lb bottle? Any idea?
Cheers!

I would use the S2 if I were you (easier to install)
Usually you will only use Nitrous for 10 to 15 seconds at a time....a 10lb bottle should last you for between 10 an 30 goes...
What is the cost of Nitrous there per lb ?
Always will to give advice on the install

Hmm, I was initially thinking of an install of the nozzle after the MAF. This would be the same on the GT and the S2.
Where would you suggest the install on the S2?

On the S2 (16V) Its easy you install at the front of the plenum as you face the car dead in the centre and then the nitrous and fuel go straight into the plenum and straight down the spider legs...

OK, here goes, if you get two bottles than you will need two heaters or coolers in a hot area. Also two bottles would be a real pain in the “ “ to service and you would want 4.
Why?
Select the correct system for the engine (5 liter), Nitrous nozzles (Jets) are calibrated then for the delivery Pressure of the two systems Fuel and Nitrous.
The Fuel jet is selected by first knowing the pressure of your fuel system, and how much HP of you want.
The Nitrous Jet is selected by the HP selected and is calibrated by how much bottle pressure your running, this varies greatly with temperature and the amount of nitrous left in the bottle
The NX system uses a bottle pressure of 1000 psi. so for correct calibration this must be maintained + / - 75 lbs.
I have found the best way to do this is using a Bottle heater that is controlled by the bottle pressure, this way you will get the most out of the bottle.
You will never use all 10 lbs in a 10 lb bottle maybe 8 on a good day; I usually use 7, after that even with a heater you won’t make the desired pressure then you will run rich.
Remember I said you need a remote gauge (in the cockpit) the ones on the bottle are useless, and an AFR to monitor rich/lean (you don’t want lean). So a low fuel pressure system cut out switch is a good thing to have.
I mounted a 10 lb tank in my spare tire well. The bottle can not lay flat, it must be on an angle for the bottle nozzle siphon to pick up the liquid nitrous at the very bottom.
I also found the blankets to be cumbersome, and now use this “hot plate” mount, works great.
The rear carpet covers the entire thing and you would never know the system is in the car.
One day I’ll get Robert Budd to make me an extra wide carper for a custom fit.
Here is a link to the Nitrous Outlet hot plate mount I use, these guys are great to work with and they also sell NX systems.

That useable 7 lbs will be enough for about 15/18 WOT shifts, the calculation goes something like the, At 150 HP jetting a 10 pound will last approximately 1 full min at WOT.
Now I get a bit more as with a progressive system I’m not “dumping” Fuel and wasting Nitrous, and with a stick I’m letting off between shifts, and the system’s computer takes care of everything, all I do is drive the car and press on the Go peddle.
