Yup, just like that, except my lift was made from a 4X4 and a small hydraulic jack. Sorry, Can't find any pictures. I've also put a jack stand under the TT in case something let go.

An engine hoise/cherry picker is not practical, the two legs that slide under the engine are be in the way.

Ive use a cherry picker on the front and had no issue removing the xmember and oil pan.

Be careful how far you lift the engine as theres much close to the firewall......just enough to take the weight off

Fair enough but it had to be a PITA to crawl around the legs.

Perhaps its the diff in the make of picker? the one I used I borrowed from a fellow 'Lister which had adjustable legs.....If I was pulling the engine then they would have been fully extended under the engine but for to take the weight off it worked with the legs retracted.

I was also very careful as after the xmember was off its a little precarious......stands under the TT
