Default Intro and Thanks

Hi guys (and girls). I've been perusing this forum for a while, but finally signed up for the 2 year membership today.

It's amazing to me the amount and quality of info available here, special thanks to Dwayne and Roger for the excellent write-ups and service respectively.

I have a 1985 S with custom dual exhaust and remote start/alarm (yup, there is a lot of wires in there ), and recently purchased a 1990 S4 that was pretty much bleeding from every orifice available. (Always easy to get PO'd at PO's)

Time to get back to the winter project, gaskets, hoses, motor mounts, etc. etc.

Cheers.

Ghinkel,

I am in abbotsford, another fellow in Armstrong, and I have a 928 at my shop that belongs to a fellow in Kewlona. Send me a PM with your contact info and I will send you an invite to the local mailing list.

Also if you need parts quick I have a fair amount here.

Welcome.

Post some pics of the '85 custom duel exhaust. I am wanting to do this on my '85. I was considering going with a '86.5 exhaust system but I would have to modify the battery box as the '86.5 went with the smaller battery box.

Welcome! Seems to be an ever increasing BC Shark club. That is great.

As others have said, pics are always good, even of bad cars

Boy that's sharp.
I should've just had an exhaust fabbed up for my 86.5, that's a clean system.
What are the spark plug wires? Nology? Lindsay?

I really like that intake on the 85S... is it powder coat or painted...? If painted, what primer & paint did you use?? I'm due for an intake refresh and I want the intake to be a bright silver like yours... B...E...A...UTIFUL!!!!

Thanks for all the great comments.

SMTCapeCod: spark plug wires are Nology.

Barry: I had the rims "buffed" but that wasn't what I was after, so jacked up the back, let it idle in drive, then carefully "sanded" with fine grit sandpaper from inside to out, for a "brushed" aluminum finish. Look forward to Abbotsford, closer to the summer though!

jbrob007: I had the intake powder coated, "Aluminum Sparkle", then hand-painted the lettering, cam covers as well. Love the hood ornament!
