Oh..the unit I purchased at O'Reilly's...

New position of MAF sensor taken from below. It's 12" (with turn) from the intake. T

Hey Tony,

While it is a clean looking installation, that MAF position is not good....see the install manual quote below:

"The MAF sensor must be oriented correctly in the induction system – note the arrow on the sensor indicating flow direction. Be sure to weld the mounting boss correctly - the sensor will only mount one way in the boss (see diagram).
Weld the boss in place before installing the sensor. When installed in the vehicle, the MAF sensor should be mounted with the connector end pointing between horizontal and fully upright - do not mount with the connector oriented downward.

Cheers!
Carl

Tony........I just realised after re-reading most of this thread again that JP and my Cayenne are the same colour..........Nordic Gold .

I was very fortunate to drive this car when visiting Texas last fall and the hospitality of Tony & Tambra; great car, fantastic folks.

Ahhh, cool breeze again. One of the A/C lines blew off and sprayed onto the driveway. Shipped both lines out and had them re-crimped, soldered and new rubber lines installed WIT. AC guy recharged system and now good to go. Cluster is now working great along with the GPS digital speedo/ODO. T

JP with Fuchs theme. Excuse the very crude attempt. I use JP as a styling exercise for my future plans.
