I think the difference (for me, speaking for myself) is that blue82 was never allowed to get less than perfect. It did have 20-plus years of non-use storage but suffered no ill effects from that. It needed nothing other than a t/belt/wp/tuneup and wipedown with a cloth to be showroom new again.

As I understand it, kermit needed quite a bit of "bringing back" to be at the level it is now.

Of course we are splitting hairs. There are starving peeps in this world and I'm worrying about what the best early Porsche 928 on the planet is lol. The originality of '82 just edges out kermit in my book. imho/ymmv/etc

Personally I like the green one better. The color combo is so exotic. I love that Pascha interior. Just stunning. Not a fan of that blue myself. I really like the Minerva Blue and some of the other blues I've seen on Rennlist. There is one in someone's avatar that is a bit darker blue and is gorgeous. They are both really nice cars.

It's a fabulous car, in the hands of the best possible owner, but there is the issue of whether Blu 82 is an OB. To many purists it just doesn't qualify as an Old Bugger.

Not that that's a bad thing.

Kermit is an OB by anybody's definition. CIS, pre-S.

How I understand it, Kermit was over-restored a little. Some of the factory finish (ie. cosmoline) was removed from the undercarriage. Wasn't there paint re-touch work done underneath?

Splitting hairs here as well, but I have to appreciate BLUE 82's original unmolested finish for what are both considered virtually unrestored survivor 928's.

However, Kermit is an OB and that is tops in my book (wonder why?).

I enjoyed the article on the 78 OB!

For those who read it, what's your take?

Despite the title "Straight and Arrow", the color was listed in the article as "Royal" Blue. I love that OB(original BUMPER)!
