Default I have to sell it...86 RHD 928

I love this car! But it looks like I am going to be a victim of downsizing so she will have to go. 86 928 RHD non sunroof automatic. It is a S2 car but since it is a euro car it has S4 brakes and suspension. There are a lot of pictures on the forum from when I bought it. I would not be afraid to get in it and drive it across the country. Truly a unique car! I am wanting 7500.00 for her. I have a clear Arkansas title in my name, the car is not and does not have to be federalized (I am sure it does in California) please check with your state to make sure. However if a car is over 25 years old and imported it does not have to meet any federal standards. Ender928 has first dibs on it until the afternoon of Monday November 7th. After that it is up for grabs here. I hate to sell it but family has to come first...I really don't want to put it on eBay. Email or PM me for more info. Thanks Paul

Do you have any detailed pics from under the car?

What has been done to the car since you owned it? According to the original thread you bought it for $3K a little over 2 months ago and now you are looking to get $7500?

I have repaired the brakes and have driven the car. That's it. I figured I would get flamed for asking so much for the car. I got a great deal on the car, paid way less than what I thought it was worth. I am facing the prospect of unemployment and can not offer the car for what I have in it. I am sorry if you disagree or think the car is only worth the 4000.00 that I now have it but I feel like it is a good price for a really good car. You would be hard pressed to find another 86 RHD 928 in the US for any price. If the uniquiness of the a RHD 928 is not for then this car is not for you at any price. So it is well documented that I paid 3000 for the 928 I spent another 500 to go get it and another300/500 on tinkering. I will stand to make 3000/3500 on the 928. That will go along way in trying to make it until I find another job. If there is any interest PM me. Paul

This is a good time to mention that sellers don't set prices, buyers do. You can ask any price you want for any thing you want. No problem. If someone feels there's a market for a euro RHD at $7500, the buyer has set the price.

I was interested in the car back in summer, but I don't care for black at all. Still don't care for it.

Was hoping you had applied the skills you said you had to the fender we sourced for you and fixed the car.

Wrong place for the song and dance.

No offense to the OP, but this is a perfect example of the WORST way to try to sell a car.

You buy the car at a reasonable price given that it needs work. Then you try to sell it, but just leave it open by saying there are lots of pictures from when I bought it on the forum. That then gets everyone to link back and see what you paid for it. I would be SHOCKED it you got anywhere close to your asking price.

You would be best to delete this thread if possible, go get the car a full detailing, make it look pretty, fix everything that needs to be fixed and then list it with a full description, list all maintenance done, modifications, etc. and make no mention of the old threads in the past to show what you might have paid for it.

Here is how I see this playing out right now. You get not one real interest in the car, and you make a few posts to try to sell it. Then 3-4 months go by, you are now really hurting for money, and you let the car go for $3,000 just so that you will have another month of rent and some food on the table.

Yes, its always good practice to hide disclosures. Not.

I hope you get your asking price for it, and sorry that you are forced to sell it, but you have to do what you need to do.
