C/L 85 EUro...low miles, high price
#16
When I went register my euro the mass registry gave me a vin verification form that needed to be filled out by a cop, The cop checked out the car, put his badge # down and signed the form, I returned to the mass registry with vin verification form in hand and received the registration and title with the zzz vin.

But, I preferred the clean smooth lines of the $1 thin oval reflectors from Walmart.

some scoop...
Called the seller owner, Jerry. He's the 2nd owner, bought from the OO 2 years ago. He is a car dealer.
Car was purchased new, from a dealership in Rome, in 1985. So the miles may be accurate.
Car was federalized, to include what you can see in the pic, and emissions/exhaust.
Interior is black with cloth "Porsche" script inserts.
Radio is aftermarket to incluide the speakers (amp?). Seller say's he has the original stereo equip.
He say he is firm at $17995.

Drifting
Someone local should go and take some nice pics inside and out. Would help the dealer sell it, so he shouldn't mind, and a lot of us would like to see pics of the best of the best, the very rare well-cared for LH Euro. Take a daily driver on this mission.
It seems as though 5 of the best Euro's in existence are in MA (if the donut mobile is still in state). That is interesting. The other 2 I can think of are in Georgia.

I will try to get by there in the next week or so - busy with family this weekend. I don't think it is going anywhere anytime soon. Very interested in seeing that interior.

Dave, the side markers on my EURO85 car came off a Toyota LandCruiser from '85! They were the rear markers on that Toyota! The lenses even say "TOYOTA" on them...that was how I found a replacement!

Calif reg has me "firm" just curious, but I'd like to see lots of picts and maybe the full story on the vin and if it does have a carfax. Wonder why it was purchased in Italy?
I think the price used to be firm at $19,995 so that type of firm isn't much to worry about.

Three Wheelin'
That's a rare bird, I don't think his asking very high price. That 85 euro from California, with the single drivers side sport seat, went for about 15000 with a redone interior (not stock like this one). Cant remember how many miles it had, but this one looks better. Also that color combo is banging.

He said the reason for the Italy import was due to the changes that were happening to the US import laws in the mid-80's.
The OO imported many autos. He used the dealership in Rome, instead of direct purchase from Stuttgart.
The "Firm" is a little confusing.
The seller said that a dealer friend was saying "we can sell it for more than that". I'll bet I can get you close to $20K...
Seller said he is in no rush to sell. He has this and a BMW 850, and both are for sale. Says he only needs one. Based, on what he said, I think he like the BMW better.
