Default toothed belt warning

So I got this red warning on my dash. I just drove it home an now it won't start... Just kidding.

What I do have is a porkensioner and I have plugged the little thingy from the kit onto the wiring harness. I ran the wire from the dipstick mount to the long bolt in the passenger side can cover. Warning still comes on. Is it not grounded out to the correct bolt? Where do I run the brown wire from the dipstick bolt to ?

Run the other end to the nearest M6 T/B cover bolt. At least that's the way I interpret the PKsn'r installation manual.

For the installation on my car, I omitted using the jumper wire and used the supplied widget, mounting it directly on the water pump pivot arm support bracket. So, there is no need for an external wire. I also documented this mod in the PKsn'r installation thread here on RENNLIST.

I use the extension wire and ground it on that bolt you sent me a picture of.

That's the thing. I can't seem to make out where to put the other end of the wire. I have it on the dipstick bolt and the thingy on the backside. I have it run to the cam cover, but I still get the warning. Perhaps I'll pick another spot to ground it out and see what happens.

Here's a video of the warning on a 90 in case you've never seen it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdTJ0nAVZWk

My light comes on as well with the Pkensioner but given it means nothing thats what I did.

Seeing Kens pic in his thread I'll try again.

Is the wire from the harness attached to the light defeat prong Ken supplies in the kit? I noticed that mine slipped off on occasion as I move things around like spark plug wires, coolant hoses etc.

The pic above is from a series that I took a while back for a new manual which I have not finished, yet.

In the interim, I have reorganized the original (english) manual to make it a little less awful.

Hooked it up as shown. Warning still comes on. Perhaps it skipped off inside the cover. I'll look at it this winter when I pull the covers to check things. Hope your manual has a section on retracting the pensioner when doing a water pump. I don't recall seeing this.
