No pics (yet), but my non-running '79 was left behind when we were ordered to evacuate our home near the Susquehanna River. I moved the 951 to a nearby supermarket parking lot and the Cayenne provided yeoman service when I finally left the house with the water getting close to my knees in the street out front.

The evacuation order is in place until Sunday, so we'll see what we see in a couple days.

You took the 951 but left the 928 behind?

The horror!

Hope the soggy 928 is the worst of your problems. I'll be interested to hear how bad it is and if you decide to try to save it.

That is horrible! My heart goes out to you and your family!

The OB can still live again! It just takes money!

Best of luck!

I was thinking about this sort of thing the other day, with a possible solution of parking the car on a BIG tarp and pulling up the sides and securing it over the top. Or just putting it up on some big jack stands.

One of those sealed drive in bubble might work too.

I hope it all works out.

Look at the bright side. A 79 has soooo much less electronic stuff to get waterlogged. You might just get off easy with this one. Good luck Shawn.

Unfortunate, but most none running 79 928s are not really very valuable nor hard to find. The house is a different matter. Hope all is well for you.

Thanks for the well-wishes. Yes, the family - including the dumb dog - is safe. I'm at my in-laws in Jersey until Sunday, so I might make the 'Cars and Coffee', which is about 30 minutes from where I am.
