Wow I made the Big Three 8>)

The Sachs kit is no longer made so you will be sol. Hunt around on eBay and you may find a new old stock kit. However make sure they have one before sending money.

Most of the parts are available seperatly but getting harder to find and expensive. The throw out bearing is NLA but we sell a remanufactured version which is better than the original. So does Mark at 928 International.

The fact that for NEW parts, a dual disk clutch R/R is now over 2500 dollars is simply ridiculous.

But there is a reprieve. Call or email Mike Simard and he can bring you into the 21st century (or at least into the 20th) with parts that allow you to use 7.25 clutches and the requisite cost reduced wear pieces.

Don't discard the disk units.
Time to find a way to reline them, like the old days.

Honestly the disks themselves are not the expensive proposition. Its the ridiculously expensive ( for what you get- heavy, old tech) intermediate plates, the flywheels, and pressure plates.

I think everyone here is perfectly happy with paying more for something when it's "better". But these lives aren't getting "better" - they are just getting more expensive.

Thanks for being there, Mark!

One other good thing.

Reverse engineering technology has jumped lightyears ahead with the laser scan/ direct to cad / direct to cam equipment. My son is going from shop to shop doing demos --- its blowing folks away --- some of them are in the business of car part repro.

Give it some time and someone will make or combine an affordable kit. Just like the Ford/Volvo engine mounts, I'm confident something will surface soon enough.

Relining the disks is easy. Every city will have a shop that does this.
