Good decisionmaking process. Looks like a major win from here.
As DIY goes, the timing belt is reasonably pretty straightforward job.
You can do a perfect job on it for between $500 and $1000 in discounted, but quality, parts --- while avoiding $1500 labor.
But you knew that going-in. Clean.

Nice find Adam, congrats! As long as you don't find anything major you got a great deal, that interior and paint is stunning for a car at that price point. Read up here on how to do the timing belt, not overly complicated. I personally would include an intake refresh with that job, on an 85 it is not that costly. That will ensure you have taken care of any vacuum leaks.

Got a new battery (proper size now) from wally world. Don't want it bouncing around in there.
Man the more I look at this car, the better it seems to get. I polished up the leather last night and it looks sweet.
Now I just need to buy a bigger house with a larger garage!

Sounds like you really scored. I hope you can keep it in such pristine condition. I think the really clean cars are starting to get rare enough that they will soon start going up in value.
