We have the conference center all day Friday so anytime you can get your car in and parked.
There will be an underground car park with a couple of hoses for cleaning your cars prior to taking them into the center.

Happy Hour in the hotel bar and then on to dinner at about 7.00pm. We are still working on menus and times so things may change a little time wise.

Saturday will start at a reasonable time with breakfast with the cars - lunch as well.
Lots to do with demonstrations and car contests.

Lots of door prizes and maybe a tech panel once we know which of the 928 Guru's will be attending.

The car show on Saturday evening is big - 120,000 people and every type of car you could wish to lay your eyes on. So we will finish around 5.00pm so everyone can go to the car show. All within walking distance of the hotel.

The Saturday night car show is called Automobilia's 18th Moonlight Car Show & Street Party. I just spoke to one of the organizers who said the show runs from 6:00 pm to midnight. They block off 1st Street for 2 miles; 8 bands are playing at the same time, 2 food courts and about 1,000 cars will be on display. Afterwards, they cruise Douglas Street from midnight to 1:30 am. They're expecting 100,000+.

If you fly into DFW I will provide a car or a seat what ever you would like. The DFW crowd will make you very welcome.

Thank you !

Thanks for the offering. I'll be very happy to have a original Texan BBQ.

I'm planning to go with my wife - I use to go 2 or 3 times per year to USA, and will be a good opportunity to visit this part of the country for the first time.

Just checked with the hotel and we have a total of 23 rooms booked for Friday and Saturday night.

This is going to be one heck of a Party.

We are waiting for the menus for the various meals and then we can complete the finacial aspects and get the web site going.

Just saw this thread and am going to read through it now. But if all goes well with my car I may be able to drive up!

-edit- is there a big group from Texas going up together? If so I would like to know when so I can meet up and join in on the pack. Or just let me know about what time you will be passing through OKC and I will slide on into the caravan as it's moving.

Default Newbie questions about this event

Is it OK to bring Kids? I have 5 kids ages: 5,6,6, 13 and 15.
Would the little ones be bored? We are thinking of taking the minivan along with the 928. I am also thinking about bringing the 3 boys in the 928. The wife doesn't want to be excluded though.
Is there a schedule of events? We have a house booked for a week at the beach and return to DFW on July 13. So we will be spending Friday driving back from Galveston Island. We were thinking of driving up on Saturday. Would that be worth it?
