Rgoer, Jim, and Marc W.,
Wonderful news. It's on Kitty's and my calendar already. There is no "hotter" vacation place in the US than the great plains in July. Y'all come!
And for Dan - recall we had 3 folks "from OZ" at the OCIC in Dallas. Hope they will return and bring more of their friends from down under (but, that's a different OZ than Dorothy and Toto's travels).
Gary--

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

This is good news! Always a great event. Don't know if Marc still has his special OCIC pants, but I'm looking forward to seeing the cars and commiserating with everyone.

Looking forward to it. It was great last time, and I'm sure this time will be just as good.

For any of you who weren't there last time, here are my photos from the 2004 event: 2004 928 OCIC in Wichita. Note Sterling's car front and center on that landing page.
And going back even more, the 2000 928 OCIC in Wichita.
And, more recently, the 2009 928 OCIC in Arlington.

I still wake up at night on occasion in a cold sweat, recalling those moments from the 2000 OCIC.
For those of you who missed it, I'll share this photo (Marc, forgive me for posting this, but you're the one who wore these):

I didn't have any pics of mine from OCIC and you took some really good ones.

I heard that, but just so people don't misconstrue your comments, I have never organized an event that was not 100% inclusive of anyone who wanted to attend.
Thanks Rog, I'll put it on the calendar.
Again, just so people don't get the wrong impression, the Michigan crew doesn't play "those silly games" either.

Ha! Yup I wore them and clearly remember the need! Anyone organizing a gathering of such magnitude needs a pair or two of:
"Take A Look At My Butt" pants for sure. Fortunately I have an ample supply.
Do remember that was about twelve years back and the waists were worn a tad higher than these sagger days... And that mark is a actually a 928 tattoo, not some car-shaped birthmark!
OK the story started at the track when some of the 911 crowd would wear their special shorts, Porsche-logoed or P crest shorts and it was fairly sickening. I started spanking some of them with the ole 928 on the track and came up with the slogan, "Take a look at my butt" speaking about the nice 928 rear end. Soon I asked Teri to come up with some pants that would let them see the real rear, just like the view they were getting on the track. One day I wore them, and at the cookout started walking around the centrally located grill area... It was clear everyone got a full view by the ooohs and ahhhhs as I circulated, keeping a straight face. The crowd was cracking up (pun intended)!! OK it was a bit out there but so were the times and the 911 guys, and the shorts were the talk of the track for quite some time.
Still making the rounds too I see by this post. No prob Ed, I'm pretty much over all the sensitive BS ha ha!
See you jokers in Wichita if I sober up in time.

Sounds like it will be an awesome event, sad to say I cannot attend. I'm booked mid-July for the next 50+ years
