Just spent a couple of hours trying to find a reasonable price on airfares - no can do.

It looks like the cheapest flights around that time are beyond my "discretionary budget" - the money that my family doesn't spend on other stuff.

I'm disappointed to say it, but I won't be at OCIC this year - somebody else will be in the running for the "Furthest Travelled" award.

Have fun everybody.

Steve I'm sorry to hear that but totally understand. Was looking forward to seeing you again and I know Laura would have enjoyed a Hobby Lobby adventure again!!

Also, I just wanted to let everyone in the DFW/Texas group know that Laura will be driving a "support vehicle" (my truck) to OCIC this year. There just isn't enough room in my car for four of us, plus all our crap. So, she will take the truck loaded with tools, jackstands, jack, water, oil, trans fluid, brake fluid....anything I can think of for getting a broke 928 back home. If you want me to haul anything up there for you, just take it to Roger's and I will get it if it will fit.

If anyone in the group has a car trailer, then we can tow that up there too just in case. Just PM me and let me know.

I will bring my "Doomsday Prepper" case - I never leave home without it.... It has shotglasses, shaker, stir sticks, Wine Bottle Opener, Salt, Lemon, and Breath Freshener.

Am I forgetting anything?

There is an airfare sale on right now - prices are within my budget (just), but the available dates are all early June, or August.

I'll keep looking.

WOOT! ROOM booked! Got to say 928 OC got a great rate for it being a Hyatt, I know this as one of my sons works for Hyatt and on our friends and family discount it is only $14 cheaper than the 928 OC rate. And we get 50% off at Hyatt's!

Gonna be a blast!

The alcohol will be riding with me in the 928 as I plan on getting there much faster and don't want to wait for the support vehicle.......

Sounds like a good excuse to test that out in the parking lot, Kenny.

Absolute Citron (lemon flavored vodka) & cranberry juice, top off with a splash of club soda, (sprite if you want it a bit sweeter) garnish with lemon slice, and serve in a tall glass. Great summer cocktail. Someone come up with a name. T
