Hi all, please forgive me if these questions have been answered before, but I would like to know if any one has a rear latch assy in any condition with or without the key but needs to be the one for the alarm. I found new ones but chocked on the cost, ha. Now another question, if the spare tire is flat and crunched into the spare hole, how is it intended to inflate if needed?? Now I recently got a 928S and it's a 1982. According to my research the S model never came to the US until 1983. Does this make mine a euro model? Does anyone have an owners manual or maintenance manuals for sale? Thanks in advance for any helpfull info. Marty.

I would read the post in this forum named - NEW VISITOR? Here are some answers to frequently asked questions.
Congrats on the new purchase and owners manuals can be found from some Porsche 928 vendors. I bought one from a local member but the car had a leak and it turned into a sticky mess. Do a search on the internet and you will find it for free first.

Welcome aboard! Make sure you read the "New Visitor" post a couple posts above yours--lots of great information for new owners--like what's a euro, etc. A lot of the vendor/sponsors on this site will be able to hook you up with a rear latch--for used, I tend to go with 928 Intl as they also have a warranty. For the spare, you'll need an air pump (and a jack in case that's also missing). If you think the price of the hatch-latch is bad, wait 'til you see the price of a factory air pump
) But, you can buy a portable one that plugs into the cig. lighter at any auto parts store for $15. Owners manuals, maintenance manuals, etc.,PET are all available... most available in .pdf format so they're searchable.
Again, welcome aboard! If you get a chance, post some pics!

Welcome. Congrats on your purchase pics please. For the spare tire a compressor is needed. What makes you think you have an S model? Also post your location lots of people willing to help.

If you have an '82 w/front and rear spoilers you have a "Competition Package" edition.

Thanks, I traded a boat for it. I wasn't really looking for a 928 but that's what I got. Glad to be rid of the boat. Over the years I had a 914 and a chev engined 924. Interesting car but a little plain looking. Only put about 75 miles on it. Nothing like my vette. Marty
