I had to use the spare a couple of months ago when a rear tyre delaminated while I was at Spa - Pouhon is a test for any tyre!
Not only did it inflate properly and get me to a tyre shop, but it contracted and went back in the space, although I did have to jump up and down on it to persuade it to go back in.
