Jarrod - Yes, Dumont recommended it when I complained about the high speed wind noise on the 90 GT.

Thanks! Looks like it would help. I'll have to give it a try myself.

Just make sure you hit the turkey in the trim, not on the body, takes some small degree of skill, then the insurance company will pay for the upgrade.

It does make a difference, a small one.

Here's a pic of mine. The little wedge on the outside is showing the same gap at the bottom as the previous pics, and the rubber under the trim at the top is pushed back under on both sides so you don't notice the abrupt finish instead of a taper. Mine has had a new screen, so it's possible that these haven't been correctly replaced.

Now I'm going to have to pull that top trim off and see, as there's also a rubber strip floating around under there that looks like it's not down to the lower edge as it should be.

It does reduce the wind noise, but price it out first. You need new metal trim on the sides, as well as the rubber inserts. ...

Completely eliminated windshield noise on my S4 - great upgrade. I don't think I had to replace the metal trims, but I had a spare pair anyway so used them to make all look like new.

Default There is a 6mm seal

There is a 6mm square seal that's located under the top trim and it runs all the way across and meet the corners on each side. The corner trim ends are about the same square shape and meet this seal on either side where they get glued together so they form one seal.

There’re detailed drawings of the upper trim with the this 6mm square seal in the WSM glass replacement section

Removing the top trim without distorting its shape is a challenge and I thinks it will be better to have a new one on hand (about $130) before you get started.

Ask me how I know

That's what I did. My seals were in crap shape, corners seals gone and I figured if going to the trouble, may as well just replace everything.

When we pulled the side seals out (they were hollow), they were full of water and nastiness.

I had to replace all my trim on my S4 to do it.
I also think that the S4 trim is NLA, at least part of it.

I replaced everything but the top trim clips, which are riveted to the roof panel and can only be replaced with the glass out.

Thanks Herman ... I'll add that job to the ever growing list.

I'll also add windscreen replacement 'experts' to my hate list, along with the alarm, radio and phone 'experts".
