Default Okay, removed the sunroof - now what?

Now what do I do? Weld in a replacement? Put some polycarbonate?

The sunroof panel is very heavy. I don't think that is plan A at this point.

Probably a question to ask before this point eh? Others have done this only to throw the car away because they were unable to fix what they had done.

Brendan,

Check out Tony's (in Texas) sunroof removal. He had a piece welded in, on his great looking blue-colored GTS. Or do a complete roof skin replacement. The non-sunroof panel is fairly inexpensive, got mine last year for around $375 IIRC. Going onto the 90GT I am working on

Cheers!
Carl

Brendan, The pics are of what was done to my 94. The link is what Dan-S4ordie has done to his Turquoise 91 GT, and what Carl-FLYVMO is planning on doing to his 90 GT. To make your life a little easier, start shopping around for a non sunroof OB headliner. https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...art-2-a.htmlrl 77Tony

That was Plan B or C if I

1) Had any issus with removal of all the under-material.
2) Wanted to take longer
3) Didn't just have a new windshield put in yesterday so I could drive the car tomorrow.

I'll look at the links. Thank you. I've seen people put panels in easily. I will probably have to do that.

Maybe mine is the Chinese one? It was 189 installed, but it looks good to me. Is the Chinese one wavy?

That's a great price. I am being quoted $242 just for the screen without installation.

If a track car aluminum road sign and pop rivets, thats what we used to do in our old A Gas drag cars. Road signs have a high grade of aluminum, used them for firewalls ,door panels and anything else that needed covering. Where I live the town sells them for scrap, lot of times give them away if they like you don't steal or take down.

When I was at Uni there was a road sign from the motorway (freeway) in one piece in the basement about 20'x10'. Never did figure how they (whoever "they" were) got it down there in one piece. Parts of it became the floor of my Landrover.
