How can torque vs hp be pointless when there are so many that still dont get it! 
When I still here someone say, " I shift when the torque or hp really starts to fall off". there is a point to help someone better understand what is happening. same with gear ratio discussions. So, i dont think its pointless, becuase the point is to better understand the relationship of the terms.
Now, what is the better car or best car, or other topics of purely personal preference, now that can be pointless.

I forgot to add "vendor issues" and "private seller issues." Those get pointless almost immediately if they don't start that way.

The resale value of different 928 models.
Why some here think a 'fire sale' or '928-ignorant dealer/dumbass non-owner helping a friend sale a 928' price determines what the market will bear, verus a knowledgable owner that has his car for sale at a proven price for his particluar model (and is not under pressure to sale).
