Default 32v engine find! can be yours!

As i posted in my other threads, i had a chance to pick up this engine today for under 1k. score! not sure what i will do with it i think i will start by removing accessories etc, and harness (has some damage). and the super bonus was it came with BOTH COMPUTERS!!!! BAM BABY!

might be willing to sell, or part out. not sure yet.

Would this block work in my 90 S4? Anyone know. Just trying to keep ahead of possible issues.

Cool.

You'd have to guess, from the freshly painted intake and the exhaust pipes freshly coated and never ran, that someone just got done with a whole bunch of work and never got the engine to run.

im up for trades, late model 5 speed trans would work. from what i can know is the guy originally got the engine as a back up for one of his cars. sold the car and this baby was sitting for about 7-9 years. the engine was running when removed. he did a little work (header coating) and thats about it. now from my Sherlock Holmes work, i think the car had a cabin fire. the back of the engine has some "singed" parts IE, crank sensor and some of the harness has bubbled. also it looks like some of the spark plug wires were eatten or yanked at some point. some connections were also cut on the back. the rest seems fine. Oil cooler lines are good, PS pump spins fine, Air pump... not sure, spins kinda hard. Alt looks good as well. right now im looking at all the parts i might be able to take off and get plated with out doing to much to it, being i have no idea what im going to do with it.

all i do know is my Hybrid build is still on!

well, wife says i have to much stuff in the garage... i tend to agree. i will trade this baby for a late model 5 speed, or a good offer. i have to get the engine stand back to PO. no alt, alt bracket, PS pump, or air pump. Manifolds included just to sweeten the deal.

Tell the wife to stay our of the garage.

Nice score, I've noticed the meted wires at the back too. Looks like the flywheel saw some flames too. There is nothing conbustible down there. Might want to throw a starter on it and check the compression, as this could have been an insurance job.

If things work out this afternoon as I hope they will. I might just be in the market for that entire engine.
