Pretty slow, but hey, I've never been on a track before

Seems that you had a lot of fun! Very nice engine sound and - from what I can see - your 1984 928S Euro auto is in fine clean shape.

And for the Dutch among us: piepende banden hoort bij het racen.

Just kidding, I'm jealous.

What a great track. Nice job in keeping it smooth inputs, not ratcheting the wheels around the corners, etc. Just keep working at it, build up to manually shifting your A/T, get the hang of left foot braking, you'll get to the point where you can make those GT3's work for those passes.

How do you fit in with a helmet? I can't sit normally with a helmet on in my shark. have to lean the seat way back.

Keep going back, you will get faster with each event. Read some books too. It will help A LOT now that you have had your first track event. "Going Faster" is my FAV go fast manual for learning and re-learning!

I love the track, but have not been in awhile, I am hoping that late this fall or early next spring I will be back in action!

Another great series of books is "Speed Secrets" from Ross Bentley....

That is hot! Your car sounds damn nice. I hadn't even entertained the notion of getting my car on a track before tonight. Hmmmmm got a ways to go before that happens tho...

Hey thanks for the nice comments everybody! I thought I'd be the laughing stock driving like that I'll make movies more often!

I did had a great time. Very exciting to do for the first time. Quite a different experience than driving normal. Especially the corners, you really get pulled to one side and wonder if your car will stay under control. And zig-zagging over the whole pavement and getting taken over left and right is weird too. Great fun.

I'll add a photo and a 911 skid from a car in front of me at the top. Low-res, but perhaps interesting.
