Thanks, I have a few more circuits to check, but I thought there would be more pids and detail in the computer program, simple things like i dont see oil pressure on the lap top. I'm use to looking at all circuit voltages right down to the dome light.
I was surprised thats all. Maybe ill find an unopened page

This engine management system uses the stock crank sensor, right? You might want to look at that as you are not getting spark or tach signal.

C'mon Brad, don't get mired down in the complexity of it. You know it all comes down to simple stuff.

As Bill correctly points out crank angle is the primary sensor for spark to start, indeed is it the only one for start ignition?

Check, Recheck, Keep your cool and think logically, you know you are on top of this.

Cheers Roy

The Tec GT sees the crank pulse, but the tach shows no RPM change?

Are you talking about the tach in the software or the real world tach?

Is any of the software dashboard working?

Have you chosen the proper sensor type for the Crank Sensor in the software?

Brad, I'm going to assume that you have uploaded a base file to the Tec GT and that the leds on the Tec GT are lit up and correct.

Here is a link on how to test for pulse at the coils.

Thanks Bill, Roy, RC.

The two green led on the ECM are on and the one flashes green/red like it is suppose to when getting the crank signal.
-RC what do you mean?
Have you chosen the proper sensor type for the Crank Sensor in the software?
I did not know this was possible and I better check that.
I don't remember if the dashboard RPM tach worked, but I know the car tach was not.

I checked for 12v at the coils (good)
Fuel pulse with was cycling.

I sure it must be a setting

Two sensor types for crank. Magnetic and Hall.

Link that I posted was not to test for constant 12V+ at DFU, it was to test for pulse.

The hardest part of a standalone system is getting it started.
Building the harness dictates many settings needed.

If this is sold as a kit, you should have just gotten a premade harness and a base file to get you started.

I have done a bunch of standalone systems. And would not recommend a base build to 99% of all owners. Even that is pushing it.

I agree Colin, unless you have a mechanical back ground it is a lot to take on.

My issue is that I changed to many things at once.
Its just takes longer and I had to mod some things to make others work.

I still have a ways to go.

the source of the 'kit' is perhaps the issue? dont know but hes not on your fav list

Brad....remember fundamentals and dont get too fustrated; fuel, spark and compression then get the time of all 3 correct then it has to run.....simple

I threw all that green salad stuff out.
pick her up at the air port at 6:30 tonight so no work on it tonight I hope
