Amazing, you've done more to do this car already than I've done to mine in four years! Keep the pics coming, maybe I'll get inspired to change those dirty old carpets ;-)

An anecdote for those who know me and my hunt for this car. I famously was unable to close the deal on the "Cheers car" - this car however will be riding on the Cup 1 wheels off Calvin Klein's car. The most fashionable shoes in town!

its been a while but moving on ,
I did the blower box reseal and replaced the vacuum pod.

Also cleaned out the blower motor and lubed it and bench tested.

Replaced the computer chips with Porkens S300 chip set.

Rehabbed the HVAC head relay and replaced the sliders and cleaned it.

Replaced the vacuum pods in the console and fitted a new stereo.

Replaced the carpets and cleaned and installed new door vapor barriers.
Cleaned up the door edge lights. Lubed the door locks and latches, and window lifts

RnR all of the fuses and relays in the CE panel had to move the interior light to fuse 22 as 24 was not making good contact, aux fan relay was corroded and failed.
Replaced the battery into a cleaned out battery box, and installed the hold down , fitted spare tire.

Also fitted one of Jerry Feathers spare tire covers, its a wonderful product very sturdy and fit perfectly

NOTE the carpet kit came from Rob Budd it also was very well made and I would buy another kit from him,
He actually makes the carpet kit by hand a very talented craftsman.

Next will be the hatch

Looks really nice. The carpet brightens up the interior. Nice job.

Nice project, Stan.

I'm sure it will turn out almost new and be a great car for the new owner.

Every single one we can restore and drive is one that won't get torn apart....
