That's funny, I just searched for my post and found this thread. See above.

I saw that but he had stated that he found plugs at a local auto store. I was trying to see if they were aluminum or not. Trying to find a local solution.

Just buy the right plugs and crush washers from a vendor ... they're cheap. The standard plugs are plated steel with an aluminium crush washer. Here are two pics ... one of the open back air pump hole and the matching plugged front one.

did you get the fact that the fittings on the back of the heads are not the air pump plumming, but the cold start injection system? do not remove!!

unless this is a euro, then plug away with the standard parts. the front of all 928 heads have these plugs.

funny story, i did use the euro S heads on my 5 liter. i thougth i had an exhaust leak for years i ran the car. I lived with it. hated that clicking noise. thought it might be a noisy lifter too. THEN< whe i sold the engine, i found that the plug was missing! ahhhhhh! anyway, the plugs are stock and just cap them off . remove the pump. US, uses the pump for differnet reason, and doesnt use the rear ports for anything other than Cold start.

euro heads ports are tapped to the exhaust ports
US heads ports are tapped to the intake ports.

putting euro heads on a US system , will result in tossing gas into the exhaust for that flame throwing effect.

Am I going to be able to install these easily with the motor in the car? I have very small arms and can reach into some odd places. I would go out and look at this on my car but it is raining and I am at work.

-edit- just saw all the other posts. I do not have a euro but am trying to get rid of my air pump. Just need to know what I need to cap off and such.... Kinda confused atm about what I need to be looking for and blocking off.

My arms are small in diameter but very long. To put it this way, I can put my hand into the fuel tank through the fuel level sending unit. 6'2" 155lbs on a good day
