Does anyone have the long main driver door seal laying around. Mine is in pretty bad shape so it would be nice to find a good used one to get me by for a while. I understand they are the same on all 928's. A new one is around $150 so I am looking for a good used one that is better than mine at a fair price. Eventually I will probably get the new one but right now my wife is pretty PO'd on the money I have spent on the 928 so far this year.
Yea, I am kind of thinking too, but I thought I would go for the long ball and maybe get lucky that someone might have something descent. MIne is in such bad shape I would not need much to improve. Are they hard to change? I just got the new bead felt for the door side and that was very easy to change and a very nice improvement.
I did a search to find out what kind of job I will be undertaking. It looks like most people say to cut and glue the new seal rather than mess with wiring or door removal. I like the easy route especially when it works well.

Ok, ok I confess. I cut the new seal (half way bottom of door) and I honestly would struggle to find the join.
I wanted to do it correctly, but the connectors behind door card would not budge and I didn't want to risk breaking anything by forcing them. On a RHD S4 there seems. I easy access to the connector at the other end so it was remove at door or nothing. The new seal is nice - door required firm push to close. But even now a year or so on it does t sit as neatly at top of door as the original passenger side one which overlaps the metal by a little more. You would only spot if you were as fussy about your 928 as me!
I have the updated seals on both of my doors, and there's no way in hell that I was going to cut a seal that cost $150. I understand why people cut it, and do it that way, but it's really not too difficult to do properly.
