Agreed. Never been a fan of the "deep dish" look on a 928. My preference is for a relatively flat faces similar to what Porsche used all along. From the phone dials to the Cup II's, all had the face of the wheel near the outer edge. To each his own, however...

Nice execution on the wheel, bad placement. It does NOT go with the car.

That requires that you have much faith in the welders ability to weld ! And as mentioned it just does not look right with that much dish.

I like the deep dish look and I like these wheels pretty well, but they should have actually measured what they were doing before welding so they would actually FIT this car! The way that is set up just looks stupid. Greg S has some pretty nice lips on his GTS and they look SPECTACULAR!

Car has a dumb stance. By another set of the front wheels and put them on the back and you will have a very nice looking 928

Is it just parallax error or do the tires stick out at least an inch beyound the rear fender lip? At correct ride height the rear fender should cover about 1/4-1/3rd of the sidewall. The rear must be way jacked up. I've seen rear wheels like this on a Koenig widebody - at least then they fit inside the fender lip.

Those 1/4s look to have been pounded out /flared but only enough to get the lip farther away from the wheel does not extend up higher like a GTS so the rim appears to stick out too far..... often when someone baseball bat rolls the lips you get that odd look if they do not stretch the metal up high enough to pull out the whole 1/4.

what is the offset now at ?

Would love to have a wider set of rims available in this style of wheel or the club sport .

I thought the wheels were forged alloy , how the hell do you weld this ?

or if not the case what are the rims now made of ?

Love the yellow GTS I have a yellow early car which has the Koenig body with the big *** , that is now my club race platform .

All the car needs now is the back end "jacked up" then it,ll match those tasteless back wheels ?

... looks terrible !

If they increased the width on the inside and outside so that it properly fit, they would be MUCH better. Or if the car was properly flared like a Koenig then they would be OK.

I like the wheel...
...looks wrong on that car, though.
Wonder who did it?
