Another glorious day! Fun all around. If you have photos, please post them here and/or send me copies (my camera went into hiding).
Thanks to Nicole for taking care of registration, supplying lots of raffle prizes, arranging the leather restoration presentation and again organizing the donations and appreciation card, and on top of that, hosting her store!
Thanks to our rookie cook Steve Smith who's surprising novice cooking skills were guided by master chef Bob Torrey.
Thanks to our raffle prize donors, Nicole Mossinger of Hooked on Cars, Roger Tyson of 928sRUs, Dr. Bob Fullerman and Andre Hedrick.
It's was great to see so many first-timers and 928 newbie owners and our extraterritorial visitors, Bob Fullerman, Rob Edwards and Sue & Jim Corenman.
I got to test out my new suspension and tires on the funride. The first half was a bit bouncy-bouncy, but I turned up the rebound damping and motored around a bit better in the 2nd half. Oh, the new Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star Specs just kept turning around the corners even as I bounced along - my new favorite street tire.
Junior Aguilar gave us an extra treat with his two Italian muscle cars as well as two 928s. He's a true car nut.
Wonderful day. Thanks to all who were able to attend. I'm a happy guy.

To Bill:
And, all others that put on this wonderful event.
Its always fun to see and associate names with avatars.
The Funride was just that FUN!
I was telling me son: "Oh, great we are the back of the line, being the sacrificial 996 for the cops" [No 928 to play with today]
My son and I thank you all for the prizes: Nicoel, Roger (928srus), etc. (hope I don't forget anyone)
Many thanks again!!

Jim, Thanks posting the pics. Looks like a great time! Wish I could have been there. Being so close to Momma's Day just made it impossible for me to attend. I am, after all a Momma's Boy, just ask Lora
Next year Lora, little Bonnie and I will come out together. I love seeing kids involved in these events when possible.

Hey everybody,
Just getting on the computer first time since returning from SITP. As usual, a great event, and worth the 2.5 hour drive for me.
Thanks Bill for putting SITP on again this year. You are a great and funny host. Actually, there's a bunch of comedians in the group.
Thanks Nicole, Roger, Andre and others for sponsoring and providing such excellent raffle prizes. It's always great to come away with useful 928 automobilia.
And it was great meeting some of the newbies as well as gleaning knowledge from those far more experienced than me. These cars would not be sustainable without such admirable enthusiasts.
Can't wait until the next event!

It's the Android Evo. This is the second time I've done it this to this model. The first time was after I stuck a wrench in my back pocket with it. --Just goes to show how bad-*** these cars are.
I looked into doing it DIY before, but it turned out to be cheaper just to send it back to Sprint. It's insured so it'll cost me $100 and they'll send me a new phone and a box to ship the broken one back the next day.
Thanks again Bill for making it such a great event. This was my first SITP and certainly won't be my last. Excellent day!

Well, it was my first SITP but not my last! Big thanks to Bill Ball and Nicole for organizing a great event! And thanks to Bill for the great raffle prize (seriously, I have never ever won anything before) and for letting me prattle on a bit about the oiling mods stuff.
I covered 988 miles in 36 hours, had a great dinner Friday with Dr. Bob and his brother in San Jose, got the car de-loused after the run up the central valley, and met a lot of great Norcal 928ers (and met up with some fellow extraterrestrials..) The car ran great the whole way, no drama for either Bob's newly intake refreshed car nor from my new mods.
Central California is beautiful this spring- wet winters are good for postcard sales:
Spent a lot of time looking at Dr Bob's bumper cover:
Lots of great cars there, but I gotta say I was really impressed with Greg's (Mako928's) '85 example, this car is unbelieveably nice inside and out- pictures do not do it justice. (Embarrassingly I was so busy talking, this is the only event pic that I took...)

It was a great time as usual, and as usual it's because of the people. More so this year, what a great turnout! I was especially pleased to see folks from points far to the north and south. Thanks Dr Bob, Rob, Jim and Sue for making the trek. As always it was great to meet up and chat with old friends and make new ones. With this in mind my photography yesterday was more about the people than the cars, though there is plenty of both.
Thanks especially to Bill Ball, NorCal's Patron Saint of the 928 for organizing and MC'ing this event.
Clicking any of the pictures below will show a larger size and plop you somewhere in the gallery with all of the images if you want to browse via the arrows at top center or by clicking "Close" at the top right to view a gallery with thumbnails.
Below: Jim & Sue Corenman, Rob Edwards, Rowan and her Mom, Gerry & Sara, Dr Bob, Bob Torrey:
George Suennen, Dennis Kao, Steve Smith, and far more great people than I have names for:
OK, now for some cars...
Rob showed off his oil control system, it's really beautiful in that you can't really see it and what you CAN see is obviously top-quality, and Rob inserted a piece of clear hose to demo the oil evacuation(still images don't do it justice):
Quick DIY tip from Andre I believe... for when frequent adjustments are called for...
One of the "Kid's Choice Awards" judges and one of the fine machines he's judging:
Junior brought along a few of his toys, a widebody 928:
And a Testosterossa:
And a Diablo:
Last but not least, It was great seeing you Travis, and your new buddy Monty. It's been quite a while. Sorry I didn't get your face in the shot, but Monty is quite the little lens-magnet.
to all, I hope everyone had at least as great a time as I did, and I'm looking forward to the next GTG.
