Gunnar, did you find the big white ceramic resistors?
I have a spare set if you find that yours were removed.

Looks like your PO was a PepBoyz mechanic.

A coil's a coil - slap it in there!

Same thing with too small battery, too low press fuel pump(both since replaced). Both were brand new. It looks like he got the new starter right though.

YES BUT THE RIGHT PARTS WERE TOO EXPENSIVE ! I am going to buy an expensive limited production car because it was expensive and looks it but I aint gonna pay big money for the correct parts.....

One of the joys of CDI ignition is the higher net primary voltage available, and therefore the higher secondary voltage available. Yes, one terminal has 11V on it running. Measure the difference to the other side of the primary with an oscilloscope when the car is running and let me know what you see. The whole principal of the CDI is that there's a solid-state switch and a capacitor as a voltage multiplier. A standard 12V coil isn't up to the task; higher primary current means higher heat, and the insulation melts. Most coils are oil-filled, with many early original pieces using PCB's in the oil, so use appropriate caution when handling leaking coils.

I changed the plug wires, plugs, coil, cap and rotor and the problem persists. I will do Sharkskin's ignition troubleshoot and if that checks out move on tho fuel pressure check. I just knew the coil or the plug wires would fix it and turn out like this thread> https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...on-issues.html since I have identical issues. I don't have a temp II sensor on a 82 Euro S right?

Old style
Coils are so fickle. I always think it's them when intact a running issue, but it never seems to be After all.

928 coils seldom fail......16 years of selling 928 parts and few coils ever fixed a no start condition.....You can easily determine if you are missing spark or fuel. That narrows down the possible causes. Shoot some carb cleaner into the intake under the air filter and see if it fires when you crank it.
