How to save an entire thread to hard drive?
Going to be working on the car at a friend's shop. No wifi access or cable. So, I need to save one of Dwayne's amazing write-ups to the hard drive......anyone know how to do this? Printing will eat a small deciduous forest, so that's not a great option.......
TIA,
TIA,

I think Dwaynes write ups are hosted elsewhere also under dwaynesgarage but I can't remember who by.
A simple way would be to go to UserCP, Edit Options scroll down and change the number of posts to display to 40 per page (max available)
Then open the thread you want and right click, then Save As . Web page complete, repeat for succeeding pages of the thread.
You may end up with 4 or 5 files if the thread is really long (150 posts plus) but it's quick and simple.

Do a "save as" to an mht filetype (web archive file) in IE and you'll have a single file you can open on a PC with no connection.

Dwayne's most excellent writeups are at Dwayne's Garage with each writeup as a separate (sometimes huge) page.
In addition to some of the suggestions above, you can also convert web pages to PDFs using on-line services such as Web2PDF.
Dwayne really should really make each of those writeups available as PDFs.

OK,
Nothing seems to be working here.
It's Dwayne's recent write-up on the Torque Tube re&re, which doesn't yet seem to have a pdf posted..
Any options or thoughts would be appreciated.
TIA!

Hello Rob,
Do you have access to the 928 OC site? If so, all my write ups (including the Torque Tube write up) have been converted to PDF and are available in the Tech Library (THANKS to Stan Shaw). Bill Ball is working on posting the Torque Tube write up on "Dwayne's Garage" but it's not there yet.

Just haven't tried yet. So, I guess I'll be bugging Stan in a bit.
Thanks!
