Okay I didn't read the opening statement right...............this changes my opinion
Turbo S is one hell of a GREAT car...thats $160k which will be under $100k in a couple years.....of course anything you spend on the 928 will be essentially "flush" money too......so my answer
Call Doc Brown & say "I want a clone of Andy's"....ship the car with a LARGE check and your done.....
Don't worry about the auto..it can take it + Doc knows what upgrades to do already....
So I would spend way less with Doc for similar performance in the 928....then ship it to Paul for an interior re-do and for less than 1/2 the Turbo S you have essentially a brand new 928 stroker with new interior.....then invest the rest....

Given a choice in the Turbo S price bracket, I'd go with an already-fairly-depreciated F-car

Get the supercharger, and save the remaining $152K. Wait a while, and use the $152K to buy a nice used Turbo S, and then you'd have both.

$160k for a car? That's insane, unless your going to have money to burn for the foreseeable next 10 years. Still, I would get it 2-3 years old even if there was enough money to fill armored vehicle.

Boost the 928. Buy a nice low mileage Cayman. Hire a DE instructor. Spend many days at the track. Hire a blonde. Do it all. And, get change back.

I saw a beautiful 2003 turbo for sale the other day. Midnight blue/charcoal. It had the X50 power kit (450hp), full supple leather interior with carbon accents, and a host of other options. Was about $150k new. Now with about 50k miles they are trying to sell the car for around $50k.
This means, every mile driven cost $2 in depreciation alone. I don't know how that balanced with appreciation, but I can say it was a super nice car. Tempting, if I had the money.

I've heard people say the that later model turbo cars are almost too well behaved and, because of this, not really that much fun to drive unless you are on a track where you can really push it. Never heard anybody mention a boosted 928 not being enough fun.

wasn't stating otherwise...can't get PDK in a boosted 928, and it will NEVER launch like a Turbo S with PDK.
The new Turbo S with PDK is freaking unreal. I have a 500rwtq boosted 928 and have driven a few Turbo S. No comparison.
Did I mention PDK??
