early dyno results

I think any comparison between WHP and BHP is stupid to even consider here. What should be considered is what is been done. This engine appears to be mapped from scratch, and so doing this on an engine dyno where all parameters can be controlled is the only way to do it properely. I have not seen all chassis dyno's, but the ones I have seen are never set up for mapping. Mapping is done on them, but never do they have good cooling, good air control etc. How do you control the Oil temp on a chassi dyno. If you do sweep runs it would not matter, but thats not mapping and sweep runs always give higher numbers. Comparing a dyno jet with this engine dyno is like comparing a Rolex with a Timex.
I am sure if it could be done accurately it would have been done on a chassis dyno. I guess Greg knows best and that is why it is been done this way.

The tough part about putting the engine on an engine dyno was creating the adaptors and the mounts needed to bolt it up. Now that I have that stuff, it is going to be a whole bunch easier to do. The dyno shop is literally less than a block from me....I drive there, but only because I'm always hauling something that I need.
As I've said, I was running a few experiments, while doing this dyno. I've also said that I learned a whole bunch about these engines, from the experiments. That made the engine dyno session worth the effort.

Lindsey Racing made an engine "cart" that holds all the coolers, sensors, etc. so they can do all the plumbing remote from the actual dyno. Just roll it in, bolt it to the crank, plug in the monitor connectors, and vroom.

It is off the dyno, still on the cart.
I'm changing some things and we will roll it right back onto the dyno.
BTW...still have to hook up water, exhaust, drive shaft. fuel, and things like that. It's not like pulling up to the automated teller machine.

Any chance for more video and sounds?

I'd play hooky for something like that

Yes, same thing...except the dyno owner has several carts, so I didn't need to build one.

Might need a few of them.
