I believe this is the same car that was on CL last week for 3K. The PO must have traded it in on something. Clear coat is coming of the hood if it is the same car they don't show hood shot that I saw.

Anyone know anything about this car? Engine bay and interior look really nice for the price. Nice color too. I sent an email asking the dealer about maintenance history.

That car looks damn good! If it just runs half way decently it is worth buying. How much could a clear coat of the hood cost??? Few hundred bucks maybe. Interior really looks nice. Won't be a fast car but certainly would be something nice to drive around in!

Is there anyone in the Denver area who could swing by and just confirm that its as good as shape as it looks?

The dealer is trying to see if the owner who traded it in has maintenance records. Mostly concerned about TB/WP obviously.

TB/WP is pretty simple on these, just a bit time consuming.
They aren't supposed to be interfernce, anyway.
I'd want to go in and inspect, maybe redo it, anyway.
Especially since all that we've learned during the last 3 years about the failure of rebuilt water pumps chewing out the block.

Could be a great car!

TB/WP should not be major concerns on an 82.

Awfully cheap for the mileage and apparent condition.

MrMerlin (Stan)?

I will be in Denver this weekend if none of the local guys chime in.
From what I can remember of the Craigslist ad I would plan on doing the TB/WP.

Really??

Even with it being an Auto and from a dealership with no records I was thinking that was pretty much right on.

Please discuss more.

what are you doing in Denver?

Wanna come over and see if you can figure out why my car won't start?

I will be wrenching all weekend some new parts coming Friday hopefully I will get it this time.

I'm only concerned about TB/WP while I'm driving it to the east coast. After that, I plan on doing all the wrenching myself, god help me.

Dumb question, sure, but would anyone advise against driving it 1770 miles right off the bat?
