Pics of Mahogany interiors - considering interior change

One of my favorite two-tone transformations was done on a late interior 944:

The transformation is highlighted by the 944 split dash, but I was amazed at the difference in interior richness after the two-tone color change. Craftsmanship by R. Budd.

While this is an '84 I have grown to like the 2 color interior. Certainly not mahogany, I would like mahogany in a red car personally. I replaced a black interior in a 356 with a brown leather that was very close to the mahogany, and I was very pleased with the results...I personally would not go back to a full black interior for a number of reasons...sorry for the unclean and unfinished speakers and the like in these photos

Red is pretty out there, and should be used sparingly in my humble opinion... red piping is superb, red carpet maybe not so... having said that, there are some classic 60`s cars with red interiors that look absolutely spot on.
I still think the best interiors are light carpets and dark dash boards in a 928...and everything else adjusted to match.

I do like the various tan and black combo's, but honestly, they're just a little boring. Part of the fun of 928's is that they're decidedly not boring, so carrying that through to an interesting interior just feels right to me.
Of course, there's no accounting for taste
At some point I'll have to decide on a seats/carpet colour for my 89.. can-can red appeals (speedtoys' 88 has a nice interior) as something to brighten up the carpet/seats and door inserts, as does mahogany.

And I totally agree that a 928 interior should not be boring!
As mine currently is... Ive got an almost complete S4 interior to go in ( apart from seats ) and I want to do the tops in black leather, the dash and centre console in black, the pod in black Alacantra. leave the rest blue. etc, plus a proper sound system.

Another vote for 2 tone. Just Beachy's original interior was tan front & rear seats, carpet, etc. Recently switched it up to grey and black along with a rear seat delete. Did see a mahogony interior with silver exterior on an S4 a few years back that looked terrific. T

What about solid wood or veneered door inserts and center console kick panels? That's what i'm doing right now, i think another person on here did door inserts in solid oak and they looked fantastic on the black interior with that broad grain that oak has. I'm doing my panels with mahogany veneer for the center console panels and solid mahogany for the door inserts. That and tan/caramel carpets is what i want to do. I have an all black interior and it's way too boring.

Doing it myself of course, i know my work will never be good enough for anybody in this place... but i could care less about the little leather strip at the bottom of the inserts, but making them out of a solid piece of wood, you could round the edges perfectly like from factory.

not quite sure if by mahogany you mean dark brown? or poo brown as my wife refers to it. (I'm not a fan of this colour either, so I'm not insulted ,I have never got lucky with colours of 2nd hand cars)
I have a full leather interior (has non sunroof headlining-also poo brown) swap for ANY colour that is not poo brown in same condition(pretty good)
Close to, I'm in Leichhardt.
