NICE...I also like the fire on decel....the Estate does that since we disconnected the L jet idle "cut" to get better throttle response

Exhaust sounds great. Also that chirp sounds like you need a clutch arm pivot.

Thanks for the props. Yeah it's still running pretty rich at start up. Need to get back in there and do a little ST'ing, but the little flame was cool, wasn't it!

No, the pivot is fine. It's one of the drawbacks of the Spec Stage 3+ clutch. It's kind of hard to slip the clutch because it grabs so hard. So it chirps like that upon take off. No biggie.

Looks and sounds great. Very nice, and very nice work.

How can the passenger side coolant drain plug on the engine block be accessed? This is not merely a random question (...and I hate admitting ignorance, inability, or lack of ingenuity...), but I have not been able to figure out how to do this, short of removing the A/C compressor or the header itself.

Unfortunately, both of those options are more work and likely to create more problems than the benefits are worth, so I have compromised by changing the coolant out more often with the fond hope that I am sufficiently diluting the leftover undesirable stuff.

Also, what will you do about (and/or, what causes) the exhaust flame?

Ohhh... a bit more than that, but not much more. Ok, I'll break the cardinal rule and add up the receipts... so here's the total damage:

Headers: $450.00 (a steal)
Flanges and gaskets to mate up with the headers: $58
Mid-Mufflers: 2 x Magnaflow 14377: $200
Final Muffler: 1 Magnaflow 11379: $100
Stainless Pipe work and installation: $850

Total all in: $1,658.

Not bad. I was expecting it to cost about $2k.

Are you sure. I was talking about the occasional chirp in the last video with the car sitting still. My GTS was doing that and it was the clutch arm pivot bushing.

Cool. holy cow you got it for under 2K, thats not bad.
I have to say that the X pipe dose look like a bit of a bottle neck.
I don't think it would look like that if the angle of the headers were not so great or if the x was flatter and wider.

Dose the X make that big of a difference compared to duel exhaust with out the X?

It doesn't always make that sound. If I get the revs and release just right, it's silent. I replaced the pivot bushing when it I installed the clutch and it's been like that ever since, so I've always chalked it up to the clutch. When I take the clutch out again, I'll take a look. Unfortunately, with the SCer installed, I can't see it from above.
