Just to review for those looking on:
I have been GRATEFUL to have the car, and have replaced:
Passenger side upper ball joint (Kit of other side is on passenger seat - ready for anyone to do it
Shocks (bilsteins)
Springs (GT springs)
Rack Bushings (solid)
Flushed Brake Fluid (ATE Yellow)
Front Brakes pads and rotors (bendix I think, and Good used rotors from a great guy)
Front Wheel Bearings (May need re-adjustment
Battery
Alternator (twice) (now has a properly wired AC Delco and new belt)
Power Steering Pump (from 928intl)
Transmission Oil (Redline)
Breather system
AFM (was surging and stalling - one trace was bad on original)
Gear shift lever (short shifter)
Gear Shift Boot (black leather)
Pinned the front bearing on the Torque Tube (see below)
Adjusted Clutch several times
Slave Cylinder
Clutch Master Innards
Front Bumper was repainted and matched to the cashmier beige
Front Driver's lights were replaced
A real alignment was done.
The Vac inducer was removed from under the spider - it was causing large idle fluctuations on downhill off-throttle coasting.
The muffler fell off on the highway early in the year. I went back to get it but it was not usable. So I had a pipe welded on to the end of where the break was. Sounds great, lighter, - perfect.
The car will probably need or you will want to replace:
1) Tires - man hole covers have all different sorts of tires
2) Torque Tube - This is going to be, in my opinion, a much needed replacement. The bearing for the front of the TT is pinned with a small bolt so it does not migrate forward. Its making some noise now when cold.
3) Tie Rod ends possible
4) Carpets (I may do this - minor issue)
5) Rear hatch cup - the hatch opens over large bumps
6) Cam box gaskets - Driver's side
7) Pan Gasket
8) AC seals - I believe at the expansion valve
9) Driver's seat bolster repair
10) Caliper Seals
11) The windshield needs to be re-installed with new goo. I made a temporary fix during the rainstorms here in Socal, but its a kludge and involves black tape.

I nominate GB to be the next caretaker of Leeroy. He doesn't own a 928, he's more or less competent to work on them, and he's near 928Intl if he needs any parts. Oh, and I volunteer for 2012.

The gold tint may actually work with the color of the car.

Again I want to thank everyone that has been involved with this project in a positive manner from the beginning. The idea is a great one, and should probably get some sort of publicity for Mark at 928intl, but of course the "board" who makes the decisions and I believe has invested quite more than a few thousand dollars remains anonymous.
Leeroy had issues as you can see from my list, but not once did he leave me stranded. Not once. All issues were "drivable" issues - and so I was able to return home. Even both times the alternator died, it died a stoic death and kept partially working until I returned to the driveway at home.
Again, thank you to all of those involved here for allowing me the time with Leeroy. I appreciate the effort and I hope that my inputs into the vehicle will prove beneficial to those that come after.

If some one can condense the whole story of Leroy I would love to put it on the Corvette forum to show the waxers and folks that will fight over mats and body side mouldings.
Show them what real car folks are about.

Thing is, there are a fair number of OBs out there that are bargains for those who know how to maintain 928s. There could easily be a "Leeroy" in every region of the US with a little organization.
