Got home today and noticed the UPS truck had left a box in the snow by the garage door. It contained a pair of 8" H4 head lights in very good condition, thanks Mark. They look huge compared to the 7" H4 lenses on the little red car now. I thought about taking the cover off the car and installing them tonight but it is 12 degrees in the garage and to cold to work. Besides I woulld just have to cover everything up and wait 4 or 5 months to see them again. It will be nice to have the lights on the car back to the way it was when the car was built.
Vermont winters are far to long and fat to cold.

I use gas myself but was looking at a big 5600w 220v as an alternative

I have a 75 000 -125 000btu propane **** eheater but last winter I came up with a very good alternative wya to heat he garage. A small 1500W ceramic heater and two 300W bulbs in the cealing. Turn them on in the morning and by the afternoon the garage will be confortable to work in.
The propane space heater that I have isn't ideal. Heats up the air way too fast and then all the moisture condenses because everything else is still cols (heat sink). A gradual heating of the entir egarage is the way to go. After a few hours, everything will be at the same temperatrue and will also retain the heat for a while.

I've got a 4000W 220V heater in my garage. With the door insulated, the 22'x20' space becomes very nice in half an hour on "blast". Set to "comfort" it'll be 60 in there from 40 in about 3h and stay that way without breaking the bank. I usually turn it on sat morning and use it for the weekend.
