is this a great forum or what?
I just could not help myself posting this.
was catching up on postings, and saw several threads with the exact info I needed for some of my next 928 projects. I have the shark in great running shape and it may not get a lot of attention this winter other than basic maintenance. have a LOT of work to do on my 911 track car before next season.
it was from reading this forum for a while before I got my shark that convinced me to dive into the tank with the rest of you. I KNEW I could not afford to add a shark to my 911 if I had to have a Pcar mechanic do a lot of work. I have been able to do all of the work on my 911 for the past few years or could not afford to have modified for DE and attend as many track sessions either.
so far I have not encountered any challenges on my shark where I did not find great threads on this forum or got quick replies to my posts.
what a great bunch of people, AND suppliers. could not have my shark without this tank full of people and their advice/experience.
and the avatars are enough to prevent me from surfing the web for ****, women or cars.

A definate +1.
It would not be possible for me to own a 928 without Rennlist.
Without you guys, It would not be possible for me to do most of the work that my car needs.
This site is full of very knowledgeable people.
And I thank you all.

They should print all pages on this forum and sell it as "the ultimate 928 manual".

I'm certain my wife and I would not have a 928 today if it weren't for this forum, the community and the outstanding support from our vendors. In fact, we were going to sell our one and only 928 a few years ago because it had so many problems, we never drove it and I didn't know how to fix it - even though I consider myself to be fairly mechanically inclined. Then Jim Bailey told me about Rennlist, I checked it out - learned volumes from so many talented and knowledgeable people - and the rest is history. Now we're swimming in sharks - a complete reversal!! THANKS Everyone!!

I have only been on the forum for a week or so, but I have learned real quick the value you have brought to this forum Dwayne. With you and all the great people here, I have learned stuff in a week what would otherwise taken me years to learn. Thanks to all of you guys for building this to what it is today.

When my car broke down a few months ago, people are giving me many invaluable tips and Bill Ball offered to drive long trips to look at the car. Mike Ballard aka 86'928sMeteorgrey gave me the diagnosis.
Great group of people.

This way if either site goes down there will be another copy.
I too like this forum but I still think that for tech links they should be in one easy location and stored in more then one.
We have a lot of good data here but it would also be nice to have a duplicate of the procedures at 928 owners club.
As a 928 owner it only makes cense to also belong to the 928 Owners Club.

Yes, this is a great forum.
The best!
So much important information is here.
Deep, rich archives.
You can see also the shift over time in the types of issues faced and the depth and accuracy of the answers.
I think the effect of putting the CD's with the technical information (other than WSM) into the hands of enthusiasts in the last few years is a huge reason.
Its easy to see who reads.

I've got a loose wingnut in the driver's seat, I'm afraid.
Speaking of forum contributions, nice work on the early euro stuff I've been dredging from your archives, Jim.
Not to mention the Prototype #6 thread.

The deal is DONE and you should see the 928 Owners Club Technical forum EXPLODE in the coming months! The "owner" of the Technical info we have has already posted on this thread and is as excited to see his info there as we are to host it at the 928OC!
If you have not yet joined the 928OC come see us at 928oc.org and join up. It helps support many of the events you probably already go to as well as provide a voice to the PCA and other organizations for 928 owners!

The 928 Owners Club is trying to get permission from some of the posters of documents and then store it on a separate server.
This way if either site goes down there will be another copy.
