A friend of mine who I won't name is planning on going to SITM in his '82 Weissach. His name is Dennis. He called me this weekend and was lamenting that he hoped he could make it to SITM, but feared that the price of gas might be too much.

I said to him, and this goes for anyone else who's thinking the price of gas might keep them from going, if you're worried about the price of gas this summer and taking a trip in your 928, you need to sell your car. Buy a Prius and plan a trip to your local senior center.

He agreed with me and changed his tune.

I don't use my 928 as a daily driver where fuel cost would be a concern. The 928 is my fun car and gas is part of my "entertainment" budget. My other toy is a Trojan F32 with twin 360's. With 220 gal capacity and gas at marinas being a 20% premium over those at the gas station; it is over $1100 to fill up. Compared to that... the 928 is damn near frugal on gas. :-)

The cost of gas; $1.22/litre.....A weekend on the road with my sons in the 928; Priceless!

Has anyone seen anything official from 928 Specialists on the event? Seems odd they haven't posted anything on Rennlist or this thread yet.

Anyone in the Atlanta area want to help with a Nitrous install. My funds are depleted at the moment and would like to get it installed for SITM.

I would wait until a couple a days before SITM, so you will possibly still have a running 928 to drive.

Now that the 1st Annual 3rd Coast "Spring Fling" is in the mirror, we are really looking forward to the SITM event. T

Awwww... c'mon Greg. Don't be such a stick in the mud. NOS systems (when done properly) can be a real gas! I used to have a 75 shot on my old '82. One of our Detroit boys has 150 shot on an 86 - works great.

But if the funds are missing... how are you gonna fill the bottle?

Big difference between filling a bottle and paying someone a grand to install! Plus I need to make sure I have a good SITM fund!

One of the kids I coach in tennis his father sells Nitrous and he said he would get it to me at cost!

Might have a lead on someone local, but we will see.

After reading many post's I do not see a issue w/ running it properly! Greg is looking out for my best intrests, he isn't tryuing to rain on my parade. He just doesn't want to hear any future whinning!
