Hi Mike,
I plan to leave on Thr pick up Skyline Dr from Front Royal and stay at Waynesboro VA.
I will leave Fri morning from Waynesboro VA and take MM1 Blue Ridge Parkway down to Banner Elk.
I will bring Austin again this year. Might go play on the dragon after SITM.

hey if anybody needs a room, my brother has a 2 bedroom condo at beach mountain (10 min or so away from banner elk).

He rents it through an agency, so i am not sure of the cost, but it would be ideal for a family or a few couples to get... I would think that it would be cost effective that way.

Hi All - real late pulling the trigger here. I need to do a TB/WP and my 8 yr old and 12 yr old said they'll help me with getting the car ready if the three of us can make a road trip in the 928 and go.

So two questions.... kid friendly event for 8/12 yr olds?

Anyone recommend close hotels? Orbitz has a bunch of them listed.

It is very kid friendly. There does tend to be a good deal of drinking later in the evening, but even then it is just like a neighborhood block party (with tons of awesome 928's). Nothing to worry about.
