Brett,

If you cant find a room, you are welcome to share with Me and Katie. We always get a double bed, and dont use it just in case someone needs a place to crash.

Does anyone have experience with the Beech Alpine Inn in Banner Elk. The BW was booked and I'm on a waiting list for them, but I do have a room booked with the Beech Alpine Inn . I was Just wondering if it was a decent place to stay. Looking forward to my first STIM! My father is going to join me in the fun this year at STIM 11 he owned the 928 for 20 years before he let me have it. Looking forward to meeting you all and seeing alot of 928's gathered in one place.

The usual alternative location is the Smoke Tree lodge, but I have no personal experience staying there.

Sorry Katie. Hans referred to you in his offer to Brett, so I thought you had changed your mind. Glad to hear you're still on board with the program.

I never stayed there, but the Pinnacle Inn Resort looked nice from the outside.

It's much closer to the 'day' action (almost walking distance) and a little further for the 'night' action.

Nice little town on top of a hill.

LOL.
my brother has a place at the pinnacle..
We were there a few months ago to go skiing...

that little pizza joint in the pic was really hopping....

the units there are condo's... with full kitchens, two bedroom two baths, with living room, etc..
They are old, but depending on the owner, in good condition

That pic was from SITM 2010, with that pizza joint pretty much the center of the action -especially when the skies opened up and gave us a good dousing!

I sure hope that is a joke about sidepipes.

If not, maybe Andrew will get a traffic citation for abuse of a classic vehicle while in NC.

Side Pipes on a mid year Corvette, oh yea, Side pipes on a 928

13 weeks? I'm gonna have to get in gear here pretty soon. I just can't seem to drag my a$$ to that unheated garage this winter. Well, Spring is just around the corner, right?
