The flat openings look to Lamborghini to me, would like to see it more original with the protruding ovals. Give the wheel more character.

Is there a comprehensive list of the Porsche phone dials with offsets and widths?

I have a set, but they are 15 inch.

Ahh, edit, adding reference to some more relevant information on 928 Phone dial part numbers:

I enlarged the AD wheel to approximately 18's, with the right finish, polished, anodized, whitish it could look really good. Even in black.

Phone Dial Wheel Sizes - I had put this together from various sources. Some sources had part #'s but I didn't copy them over. I believe the sources were tables having various wheel weights. All are Phone Dials:

Wow - cool! I would really love that.

Required attire is arrow-proof vest and Nomex, correct?

Jim, seriously, I will be glad to help in anyway I can.

I hear you about the limited time. However, there is good input in this thread, and some good talent and resources on Rennlist as a whole.

tv, I suspect it may be part optical illusion and part subtle differences that creates what looks like a mix of the flat and blister/3D wheel in that original Porsche ad. But that doesn't mean that combo can't be looked into! That enlarged wheel does look great!

I have some flats that I will measure over the weekend, and will probably re-measure the wheels I already measured, for, uhm.., good measure.

A question I have, Jim, is, which do we (or your silent patron) want to pursue:

A) A scaled up version that remains as true as possible to a particular Phone Dial (with perhaps some minor artistic freedom to help it look "right" - e.g., lug hole sizes, center cap sizes, oval sizes, proximity of these to each other and to outer rim).

or

B) An 18 inch evolutionary design of the Phone Dial wheel, similar to how the GTS is an evolution of the original 928 design?

or

C) Both? (we can split this into two threads)
(Keeping in mind that a hunter chasing two rabbits, often ends up with none. ..Or something like that..)

I thought over a decade and a half ago , how countach wheels would suite the 928.

It'd be just more than perfect.

Ok, I should have said modern Lamborghini wheels since the 25th anniversary and Diablo on phone dials wheels are too flat IMO for the 928.

These are the Countach phonedial. I'm afraid we don't have the room up front offset wise for such a radical dish:

Has there been any progress with this project? I'm starting to look for wheels for my new widebody and deep dish 18" phonies might look cool.
